    Harrison Hebert

    Suncoast Basketball Club - Clearwater Director

     

    Harrison Hebert is a Sarasota native where he played for Coach B.J. Ivey at Riverview Highschool during the 2013-2014 season. Following his Highschool career Harrison played 2 seasons at State College of Florida where he would earn 2 nd team All-Suncoast Honors in both seasons (2014-2015) & (2015-2016). Following his time at State College of Florida, Harrison would spend 2 seasons at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. Harrison was a member of the 2017-18 Fire squad that won The Sun Conference Tournament Championship, defeating Keiser 87-80 in overtime to win the championship and advance to the NAIA National Tournament. Harrison was also a member of the Academic All-Sun Conference Team that season.

    After his playing career Harrison spent 2 seasons as the Graduate assistant coach for Southeastern

    University from 2018-2020. During that time the Fire would go onto win The Sun Conference regular Season Championship and Tournament Championship in the 2020 season.

    Suncoast Basketball Club has developed basketball skills and encouraged physical fitness with kids in South Florida since 1999, and now we're coming to Clearwater.

  • HOW OUR CLEARWATER YOUTH LEAGUE WORKS

    EVALUATE

    Player evaluations, which are held before the start of every league session for each age group. This is where we do our best to create balanced teams for each division and foster the most competitive league environment

    PRACTICE

    One weekly practice, which is run by at least one member of our highly qualified Suncoast Basketball Club coaching staff, in addition to each team's volunteer head coach. Each team receives two practices before their first game.

    PLAY

    One weekly game, held either on Saturday morning or Saturday afternoon at St. Paul's, Clearwater's Independent School, 1600 Saint Paul's Drive, Clearwater Fl. 33764.

  • B.J. IVEY

    CO-DIRECTOR

    Before serving as the Director of Basketball Operations at Florida Gulf Coast University, B.J. Ivey served in the Sarasota County School District as a teacher and head basketball coach at Riverview High School. During his 13 years at Riverview his teams won a combined 270 games, eight district titles and appeared in the FHSAA region finals three separate times. In the classroom Ivey was named the 2017 Sarasota County Teacher of the Year, in addition to receiving the Shine Award by FL Governor Rick Scott.

    BILL IVEY

    CO-DIRECTOR

    Bill Ivey spent 12 years as a highly successful head basketball coach at both the college and high school levels. After his coaching career ended Bill went on to conduct nationwide basketball and football coaching clinics and during this span Bill hosted 75 of the nation's top coaches as clinicians in his camps, including the likes of Dean Smith and Roy Williams (North Carolina), Jim Boeheim (Syracuse), "Red" Auerbach (Boston Celtics), Larry Brown (Detroit Pistons) and Mike Shanahan (Denver Broncos).
